Nilaveli Beach Hotel is situated on the pristine, pure and private East Coast of Sri Lanka. Close by to the town of Trincomalee, Nilaveli Beach with its miles of crystal clear and shallow water is undoubtedly the best that Sri Lanka has to offer. The ideal season on the East coast is from April to October.
The hotel has 45 Rooms which includes Standard Air Conditioned and Deluxe rooms. Facilities include a swimming pool, beach bar and restaurant. The hotel overlooks Pigeon Island, a breeding ground for migratory birds. The island was originally used by the British during the second world war for target practice. Pigeon island is also an excellent location for Game snorkeling with its wide array of multi-coloured, tropical fish.
Other places of interest are a popular Hindu temple perched high a top Swami Rock which divides Trincomalee’s emeralds bays. Fort Fredrick,remnant of Trinco’s colonial history. Trincomalee is also a well known spot for exploring World War II shipwrecks.
